What’s New at LongHorn menu in 2026
Three new items showed up on the LongHorn menu this year — and two of them are worth trying immediately.
Watermelon Margarita ($11.49) — Light, genuinely refreshing, and not the syrup-bomb you might expect. If you’re dining in summer, this is the move.
Spiked Strawberry Lemonade ($10.99) — LongHorn’s classic strawberry lemonade with vodka added. Simple concept, solid execution. A good call for people who don’t want a full cocktail but want something more interesting than a soda.
Parmesan Crusted Fries ($11.79) — The Parmesan crust is LongHorn’s signature touch — it’s what made the chicken famous. Now it’s on fries. They arrive crispy and rich, and they’re genuinely better than a plain basket of fries. Shareable, but you probably won’t want to.
About the Author
John Smith has visited LongHorn Steakhouse locations across the country — from the original Atlanta area to suburban outposts in the Midwest and Northeast. This page is updated every time LongHorn changes their prices or menu. Everything listed here comes from the official ordering menu, cross-checked against in-restaurant visits. We don’t publish coupon codes we can’t verify, and we don’t get paid to recommend any particular dish. What you see here is what we’d actually tell a friend.
Legendary Steaks & Combos
This is the signature category of the Longhorn Steakhouse menu that offers high-quality steaks that are hand-cut and fire-grilled by experienced grill masters. This category includes the most famous items of Longhorn, such as Outlaw Ribeye, Flos’s Filet, Fire-Grilled T-Bone, and the Porterhouse steak, which are widely popular for their bold, smoky, and grilled flavour. Another prominent reason this category stands out is its combo section. This section delivers a perfect balance of steaks and sides, such as Flo’s Filet with Lobster Tail or Sirloin with Redrock Grilled Shrimp. So check out the full category with complete information about each item, including price, calorie count, and ingredients.

If it’s your first time, go with the Outlaw Ribeye — it’s the one that defines the LongHorn experience. If you’re watching the bill, the Renegade Sirloin delivers real steakhouse flavor without the premium price. Flo’s Filet is the right call if you want something tender and lean rather than rich and heavy.
LongHorn Steak Doneness Guide
Getting your steak cooked to the right temperature is just as important as choosing the right cut. Here is exactly what to expect at each doneness level when you order at LongHorn.
| Doneness | Internal Temp | What It Looks Like | Best For |
| Rare | 120–125°F | Cool, bright red center | Very experienced steak eaters only |

The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is the most popular non-steak item on the entire menu, and it earns it. The crust is thick enough that it crackles when you cut into it, and the chicken underneath stays juicy. The 9 oz is the right size for most people — the 12 oz is a lot.
Grilled Lamb Chops deserve more attention than they get. At $23.99, they’re priced right, the fire-grill char on lamb works beautifully, and they’re served over rice pilaf. Worth ordering if you want something different. For now it is unavailable on the menu.
HandHelds of Longhorn Menu
The Handhelds menu at LongHorn Steakhouse is a great option if you’re looking for a lighter alternative to a steak dinner. This category features two popular choices: the Steakhouse Cheeseburger and the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, both served with a side. Below, you’ll find the latest prices, calories, and key details for each handheld item on the menu.

Honest take: the burger is solid, but you’re at a steakhouse. If you’re going the handheld route, it’s better suited for lunch — or for the person at the table who genuinely doesn’t want a steak and doesn’t feel like chicken.

The Steakhouse Mac & Cheese is a four-cheese blend with an herb breadcrumb crust on top. It’s indulgent in the right way — the kind of side dish that people at the table start eating off each other’s plates.
The Crispy Brussels Sprouts are a better choice than they sound — tossed in smoky honey butter, they’re the most interesting vegetable side on the menu.

If you want something lighter, the Strawberries & Cream Shortcake is the honest choice. It’s not trying to be the Stampede — it’s just fresh, sweet, and a proper finish to a heavy meal.

Best value drink: The Texas Margarita at $6.49 is the most affordable cocktail on the menu — and it’s a proper margarita, not a watered-down version. If you’re ordering a round for the table, this is the call.
Editor’s Picks — The 10 Dishes Worth Ordering
These are the items we’d recommend without hesitation to anyone walking into a LongHorn for the first time — or the fiftieth.
1. Outlaw Ribeye® — Best Overall Steak
$37.29 · 1,250 cal The Outlaw Ribeye is a bone-in steak, which means the bone conducts heat during cooking and adds flavor that boneless cuts can’t replicate. The marbling is heavy, the char is real, and the portion is genuinely large. Order it medium-rare. If you only order one thing at LongHorn, this is the one.
2. Flo’s Filet® — Best for First-Timers
Starting at $28.79 · 330–450 cal If the ribeye feels like too much — too rich, too large, too intense — Flo’s Filet is the right move. It’s tender in the way that makes people who claim to not like steak suddenly interested. Mild, lean, and consistently well-executed. The 6 oz is enough for most people.
3. Renegade Sirloin — Best Value
Starting at $19.29 · 220–290 cal The most affordable steak on the menu also happens to be one of the most satisfying. The sirloin has a firmer texture than filet or ribeye, with a direct, beefy flavor that doesn’t need sauce. At this price, it’s the reason LongHorn punches above its weight class on value.
4. Parmesan Crusted Chicken — Best Non-Steak
Starting at $21.79 · 650–1,120 cal This is the dish that converted a lot of people into LongHorn regulars. The Parmesan crust crisps into something genuinely different — cheesy, savory, with a satisfying crunch that contrasts with the juicy chicken underneath. Get the 9 oz.
5. Wild West Shrimp® — Best Appetizer to Share
$13.79 · 970 cal Hot, crispy, tossed in spicy cherry peppers and garlic butter. The shrimp arrive in a cast-iron skillet and disappear quickly. Order one per two people if you plan to share.
6. Chocolate Stampede® — Best Dessert
$12.29 · 2,460 cal Six types of chocolate. One very large dessert. Two people, minimum. The Chocolate Stampede isn’t subtle, but subtlety isn’t what it’s going for — it’s the dessert equivalent of the Outlaw Ribeye, and it works.
7. Shrimp & Lobster Chowder — Most Underrated Item
$6.79 · 250 cal Almost nobody mentions this soup, which is a shame. At under $7, it’s a proper chowder with real seafood. Order it as a starter instead of an appetizer if you want to save money without sacrificing flavor.
8. Steakhouse Mac & Cheese — Best Side
$6.49 · 610 cal The four-cheese blend with herb breadcrumb crust is genuinely better than the mac & cheese at most standalone restaurants. It pairs especially well with the Outlaw Ribeye or the Baby Back Ribs.
9. Grilled Lamb Chops — Best Hidden Gem
$23.99 · 610 cal Most people walk past this item without noticing it. That’s a mistake. Fire-grilled lamb chops over rice pilaf — the char on the bone adds the kind of depth you’d expect at a much pricier restaurant.
10. Filet & Lobster Tail Combo — Best Special Occasion Order
Starting at $38.79 · 420 cal If you’re celebrating something, this is the combo. The 6 oz Flo’s Filet paired with a butter-basted lobster tail feels like a $60 meal at a proper steakhouse. At LongHorn’s prices, it’s remarkably good value for what you get.
LongHorn Steakhouse Secret Menu
These aren’t printed anywhere — but they’re all buildable from existing menu items. Just know what to ask for.
1. Parmesan-Crusted Ribeye
The Parmesan crust from the chicken applied to a ribeye steak. Ask: “Can I add the Parmesan crust to my ribeye?” — it’s a standard Great Steak Addition, just not obvious from the menu. The combination of the crispy cheese crust with the richly marbled ribeye is genuinely one of the best things you can eat at LongHorn. Price: Ribeye ($30.49) + Parmesan Crust addition (~$3.49) = ~$34
2. Filet Oscar-Style
A Flo’s Filet topped with Redrock Grilled Shrimp, with lemon-garlic sauce and steamed asparagus on the side. Ask: “6 oz Flo’s Filet, add 8 ct Redrock Shrimp, and can I get the lemon-garlic sauce drizzled on top with a side of asparagus?” This turns a good filet into something that looks and tastes like a $65 restaurant dish. Estimated Price: ~$55 built out
3. Outlaw Surf-and-Turf
The Outlaw Ribeye with Redrock Grilled Shrimp added. Ask: “Outlaw Ribeye with 8 ct Redrock Grilled Shrimp added on the side.” Simple, unapologetically large, and the kind of meal you remember. Estimated Price: ~$51
4. Redrock Shrimp Mac Bowl
Steakhouse Mac & Cheese with Redrock Shrimp mixed in. Ask: “Steakhouse Mac & Cheese, add 8 ct Redrock Grilled Shrimp, chop and mix if possible.” The smoky shrimp in the four-cheese sauce works better than it has any right to. Estimated Price: ~$27
5. Texas Tonion Burger
Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger with Texas Tonion petals piled on top. Ask: “Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger with Texas Tonion petals on top, dipping sauce on the side.” The crispy onion petals add texture and crunch that the burger honestly benefits from. Estimated Price: ~$27
6. Cowboy Surf-and-Turf
Cowboy Pork Chops with 8 ct Redrock Grilled Shrimp on the side. Ask: “Cowboy Pork Chops, can I add 8 ct Redrock Grilled Shrimp?” The smoky-sweet pork with the spiced shrimp is a different kind of surf-and-turf that most steakhouse menus don’t offer. Estimated Price: ~$43
7. 7-Pepper Steak Salad Upgrade
The 7-Pepper Sirloin Salad upgraded to a larger sirloin cut. Ask: “7-Pepper Sirloin Salad, can I upgrade to an 8 oz Renegade Sirloin, medium-rare?” Turns a decent salad into a full steakhouse meal. Estimated Price: ~$23–25
8. Parmesan-Parm Chicken Caesar
Ask for a Caesar Salad with sliced Parmesan Crusted Chicken on top. Ask: “Caesar Salad entrée, topped with sliced Parmesan Crusted Chicken.” The combination of the creamy dressing with the crispy cheese crust is exactly what it sounds like. Estimated Price: ~$27
9. Lemon-Garlic Salmon and Shrimp Plate
7 oz LongHorn Salmon with Redrock Shrimp added, lemon-garlic sauce on the side. Ask: “7 oz Salmon, add 8 ct Redrock Shrimp, lemon-garlic sauce on the side.” Light, clean, and a genuine surf-on-surf plate for people who don’t want red meat. Estimated Price: ~$45
10. Loaded Sweet Potato Dessert
Order the Sweet Potato and ask to have it loaded with cinnamon sugar, butter, and — if available — a side of pecans from the Strawberry & Pecan Salad. It’s a sweet, indulgent finish for people who don’t want chocolate. Estimated Price: ~$4–7

LongHorn vs. Texas Roadhouse — Which One Is Worth Your Money?
Price Comparison: Same Cuts, Two Chains
| Cut | LongHorn Price | Texas Roadhouse Price | Difference |
| 6 oz Sirloin | $19.29 | ~$13.99 | LH higher |
| 8 oz Sirloin | Starting higher | ~$15.99 | LH higher |
| Ribeye (similar size) | $30.49 | ~$21.99 | LH higher |
| Filet (6 oz) | $28.79 | ~$22.99 | LH higher |
Texas Roadhouse is consistently cheaper. That’s not a knock on LongHorn — it’s just the reality.
Quality Comparison
Menu variety: LongHorn wins here. The Parmesan Crusted items, Grill Master Combos, and more complete drinks menu give it more depth than Texas Roadhouse’s more limited non-steak options.
Steak quality: LongHorn’s Grill Masters program is a genuine differentiator. Grill Masters go through weeks of training specifically on steak cooking — fire temperatures, timing, seasoning. The consistency at LongHorn is notably better than Texas Roadhouse, where the quality can vary significantly by location and kitchen.
Atmosphere: Texas Roadhouse is louder — peanut shells on the floor, country music at a higher volume, a more casual energy. LongHorn is a step up in atmosphere without crossing into formal territory. If you’re on a date or celebrating something, LongHorn feels more appropriate.
Value verdict: If you want the best steak for the least money, Texas Roadhouse wins. If you want a more consistently executed steak in a better environment with more menu options, LongHorn is worth the extra spend. The gap isn’t massive — we’re talking $5–8 per steak — and for most people the LongHorn experience justifies it.
Free bread: Both chains offer complimentary bread. LongHorn’s honey wheat bread is genuinely good. Texas Roadhouse’s yeast rolls with cinnamon butter are — honestly — iconic. This one goes to Texas Roadhouse.
